These are exciting times at Adherex. Building on the foundation of an international network of experts in the field of cell adhesion science, oncology and drug discovery, Adherex is building a fully integrated preclinical and clinical research unit in Research Triangle Park, NC.
During the coming year, we will look to expand our research and development team with well-rounded and dynamic experts in the areas of:
- project management,
- preclinical research,
- pharmacovigilance, and
- clinical research.

Candidates for senior management positions will have a track record in the early phases of drug development, an MD or PhD, and 10 - 15 years of work experience, with preferably t least five years of those in pharmaceutical or biotech industries. Seasoned professionals are experts in their field, have moved pharmaceutical products past development milestones, and have the desire to move into positions of greater responsibility. Young experts will have an MSc or PhD, academic credibility and a demonstrable interest in drug development. Hands-on leadership skills, the ability to perform as a team player, strong communication skills, and the capability to contribute to product development and regulatory submissions are important considerations. Familiarity with modern research information and knowledge management technology are helpful.
